Wild Central Route – 15-Day Off-Road Adventure is an epic overland expedition across the remote heart of Afghanistan, designed for adventurous travelers seeking raw landscapes, ancient monuments, and true Silk Road spirit. Traveling largely by rugged terrain routes, this journey links the historic capital of Kabul with the highland valleys of Bamyan, the remote mountain corridors of Chaghcharan, the majestic Minaret of Jam, the cultural splendor of Herat, and the vibrant northern centers of Mazar-i-Sharif before returning to Kabul. Blending dramatic off-road landscapes, UNESCO-listed heritage, medieval Islamic capitals, and authentic village encounters, this 15-day adventure reveals Afghanistan’s wild and lesser-traveled central route in its most powerful form.

Itinerary
Day 01 : Arrival - Kabul
- Pick up from Kabul International AirPort
- Arrival, arrangement, and check in to the hotel
- Visiting a tailor for making a local Afghani outfit (Optional )
- Visiting the Old bird market with 100 years old, walking around the Mandavi Bazaar and talking to local people
- Will have a short visit to the Shah do Shamshera Mosque, Ethnographic Research Museum – Flexible
- Visiting one of the beautiful blue mosque in Kabul (Shrine of Sakhi), BiBi Mehro Hill (The Taliban Big white Flag)
- Overnight in the hotel
Day 02 : Kabul Tour
- Visiting the National Museum of Afghanistan
- Going to Darul Aman palace, Babur Garden/ Chilston Garden (Optional), Toop Hill with a stunning view of the houses on the mountains
- walking around the city and talking to local people (if interested)
- Visiting the Qargha Lake, continue our tour to the beautiful Paghman Valley and Palaces
- Overnight in the hotel
Day 3 – Kabul to Ghazni
- Drive south to Ghazni and explore its historic minarets and Islamic monuments.
Day 4 – Ghazni to Bamiyan
- Journey through highland terrain to Bamyan.
Day 5 – Bamiyan Valley Exploration
- Visit the Buddhas of Bamiyan and surrounding caves in the Bamiyan Valley.
Day 6 – Band-e Amir Excursion
- Explore the lakes of Band-e Amir National Park.
Day 7 – Bamiyan to Yakawlang
- Off-road drive through rugged highlands to Yakawlang district.
Day 8 – Yakawlang to Chaghcharan
- Remote mountain journey to Chaghcharan.
Day 9 – Chaghcharan to Jam
- Excursion to the spectacular Minaret of Jam.
Day 10 – Jam to Herat
- Continue west toward Herat.
Day 11 – Explore Herat
- Visit the Great Mosque of Herat and Herat Citadel.
Day 12 – Herat to Maymana
- Drive north to Maymana through varied landscapes.
Day 13 – Maymana to Mazar-i-Sharif
- Travel east to Mazar-i-Sharif.
Day 14 – Mazar-i-Sharif to Samangan to Kabul
- Visit Takht-i Rostam near Samangan before returning to Kabul.
Day 15 – Departure
Drop off to the Kabul International AirPort (Your drop off will be arranged based on your departure flight time)
